Setting Up Your E-mail in Windows Mail
This tutorial shows you how to set up Windows Mail to work with your Icoastalnet.com e-mail account.
To Set Up Your E-mail Account in Windows Mail
- Open Windows Mail, select Tools and then Accounts.

- A new window will open and you need to click the Add button.

- Choose E-mail Account and click Next.

- In the Display Name box enter your name and click Next.

- In the E-mail address box enter your complete email address and click Next.

- In the Incoming email server type drop down choose POP3. Enter mail.icoastalnet.com in both the incoming mail server and outgoing email server boxes, check the box for Outgoing server requires authentication and click Next.

- Enter your complete email address in the E-mail username box, enter your password in the Password box, put a check in the Remember Password box and click Next.

- Put a check in the box next to Do not download my e-mail at this time and click Finish.

- Click Tools then Accounts, click on your account and click Properties.

- Click on the Advanced tab. Set the Outgoing mail (SMTP) port to 587. Put a check in the last 3 boxes under Delivery, set the days to 30 then click Apply and OK.

- Click New to create a new email message. Enter your email address as the recipient, type test in the subject line and in the body. If you have more than one email account set up in your client you need to choose your new account to send from. You may now click Send. Wait 1 minute and click your Send/Receive button if your message has not been delivered to your inbox.
