Setting Up Your E-mail in Entourage
This tutorial shows you how to set up Entourage to work with your Icoastalnet.com e-mail account.
To Set Up Your E-mail Account in Entourage
- Open Entourage, click Entourage in the menu bar, then click Account Settings.
- Click New.
- Enter your complete email address and click Configure account manually.
- Choose POP from the drop down menu and click OK.
- In the Account name box enter your complete email address. Type your name in the Name box and enter your complete email address in the E-mail address box. Type your complete email address in the Account ID box. Enter mail.icoastalnet.com in the POP server box and enter your password in the Password box. Enter mail.icoastalnet.com in the SMTP server box and click Click here for advanced sending options.
- Check the box for Override default SMTP port and set it to 587. Check the box for SMTP server requires authentication and make sure there is a dot next to Use same settings as receiving mail server then press Enter. Click the little square in the upper left corner of this box to close it if it did not close when you pressed Enter.
- Click on the Options tab and place a check next to Leave a copy of each message on the server, Delete messages from the server after 30 days, and Delete messages from the server after they are deleted from this computer. Verify that the days option is set to 30 and click OK.
- Create a new email message. Enter your email address as the recipient, type test in the subject line and in the body. If you have more than one email account set up in your client you need to choose your new account to send from. You may now click Send. Wait 1 minute and click your Send/Receive button if your message has not been delivered to your inbox. If you do not get your message after 5 minutes, please re-check all of your settings and contact our support staff at 910-575-6095.
