InterCoastal Net Designs Web Based Email Support

  • Our Web-Based Interface can be accessed at http://mail.yourdomainname.xyz (replace yourdomainname.xyz with whatever is after the @ in your email address). When you arrive on this page you will be prompted for your Username (which is your complete email address) and your Password (the password assigned to this particular user account). If you are on a very slow connection, you can check the box to use Web Messaging Lite. As long as you are not on a public or shared machine, you can check the boxes to remember your username and password if you like.

Click LOGIN (do not just press enter)

  • If you would like to change your email password you must first change it on the server via the webmail. To change your password click Preferences at the bottom of the left column, enter the new password in the 2 boxes, then click Save at the top. The password you enter must be at least eight characters long and must contain at least one letter and one number (meaning it can not be all letters or all numbers - it must be a combination of both). If you enter a password that does not meet this criteria, the system will ignore your password change request and revert to the original password. Once you have clicked Save you must log out of the webmail to complete the process. If you also use a mail client such as Outlook or a mobile device, you must now change the password setting on those to the new password before they will function.

  • If you would like to add a vacation message that replies to all of your inbound messages while you are away click Preferences at the bottom of the left column, click the Vacation Message tab, place a check in the Enable box, then type your desired message. When complete click Save at the top. Your vacation message is now active. When you return from vacation, just log into your webmail and return to this screen. Uncheck the Enable box and click Save at the top. The vacation message is now disabled.

  • If you have had a message sent to you and it has not appeared in your inbox, it may have been trapped in our spam filters. All mail that is filtered is no longer deleted. It is placed in a folder within your webmail called Greymail. This folder will hold 9 days worth of your junkmail. Items trapped in this folder will not download to your mail client. If you find something in this folder that you would like to send to your outlook, just forward it to your email address from the webmail interface. You will then see it appear in your webmail inbox. As long as you do not open it, it will pass down to your mail client the next time it pops the server. You should note the senders email address and go to this support page and fill out the form for that sender to be whitelisted.  Once the whitelisting is in place, the senders mail will no longer be filtered and will not go into Greymail. Whitelisting is the only adjustment that can be made to this system other than turing all filtering off. If your domain has requested to "Opt Out" of the greymail system, you will not have any mail go to this folder within your webmail. Domains that have chosen to "Opt Out" will rely on the built in filters within the mail client they use to filter all mail. This is the preferred method of many of our clients as it gives them control of what they allow into the inbox without going to the webmail or requesting whitelistings. There is no need to clean out the Greymail folder as it will automatically delete all mail older than 9 days every night (unless you get a tremendous amount of spam and your mailbox is full). If you have any questions about the greymail system, please feel free to contact your customer service rep.
