Setting Up Your Mobile Device Email & Other Device Settings.

This contains the POP (POP3) info you will need to set up your mobile device or other mail client to work with your Icoastalnet.com e-mail account.

Mail Server Names
Incoming (POP3) - mail.icoastalnet.com
Outgoing (SMTP) - mail.icoastalnet.com
You can also use mail.yourdomainname.xyz (replace yourdomainname.xyz with whatever is after the @ symbol in your email address) but you will lose access to your mailbox on the server should there ever be a DNS failure or you have problems with your registrar/domain name.

Ports
POP port - 110
SMTP port - 25 or 587
SMTP port 587 is preferred so you do not have to route your mail traffic through your ISPs systems. If you have a hardware or software firewall in place, you may have to open port 587.

Authentication
You must have SMTP-auth (my server requires authentication/use same settings as my incoming server) turned on to send mail.
We do not use or support SSL, TLS, or SPA.
Your user name is the same as your complete email address. You must use the whole thing when setting up your mail client or signing into the web mail.
If you have lost your password, you can email your Customer Service Rep or email support@icoastalnet.com to recover it.

Mobile Devices

The mobile device you use must support POP mail. We do not offer IMAP or any other type of service. We do not offer direct support for any particular mobile devices. If you have trouble setting up your mobile device, please contact your mobile device provider and give them the information listed above. That is what they will need to assisted you in your setup. Please be sure to set up your regular mail client to leave 30 days worth of mail in your mailbox on the server so your mobile device can get copies of your mail. Some mobile devices will automatically remove the mail from your mailbox on the server. This will prevent the mail from being sent to your regular mail client. Please test your mobile device before deleting the mail from it. LG phone are know to do this and this has been confirmed with LG support. Some phones will have a check box or setting to leave copies of the messages on the server just like a regular mail client and you should use it.
