  • The ICND Help Desk System -What is it? Why should you use it?

  • URL: http://www.icoastalnet.com/support.cfm

The ICND Help Desk System is a form you fill out on the ICND website. You enter in all your information into the form and click Submit Request. The information is submitted to our help desk system and gives you a reference number for you to refer to when you call in or email us. To utilize the help desk system, you can send an email to support@icoastalnet.com or you can go to http://www.icoastalnet.com and click the support link at the top of the page. Five to ten minutes after you submit your request you will receive your reference number.

When you submit a request through the help desk system:

  • Your request is stored in our help desk system for the ICND team member to refer to when they are working on your request.
  • It allows you to submit all relevant information regarding your website issue, request, or project. This is useful when you call in to discuss your issue, the person you talk to does not have to worry about taking down all the notes, the team member can concentrate on listening to you and help you resolve the issue.
  • If you submit a help desk request, the request goes to all ICND team members, which means you are not waiting for one particular Team member to handle your request. For example. You send a change to your website over to me (Randy), and I am out of the office for the day, you would have to wait till the next day for me to get in the office. If you send your request to support another ICND team member could handle your request. This is especially important for website errors.

To summarize, use the help desk system for all help requests. This allows you to make sure you have included everything related to your request and helps us be more efficient in getting your request taken care of. It is a WIN-WIN situation.

Be sure to tune in next month to learn how you can leverage real-time ColdFusion Graphs & Reporting to help you become more profitable in 2006.

What Have You Done For Me Lately???

Is this what your website is saying to you? A website should be handled with more care than your printed marketing materials. By updating the content of your website every 6-12 months you will benefit in numerous areas.

Stay ahead of your competition by providing current and accurate statistics, current projects and any other information your clients may be interested in.

Keep your clients coming back for more. By posting updated news / awards relating to your company / industry you reassure your clients that you are staying on top of the game. The more interested your clients are in you website the more willing they are to refer your site to their friends and family.

Become #1 with the search engines. By updating your website you prove to the search engines (Google, MSN, Yahoo) that you are a committed and valid site. If you never change your content a search engine will be inclined to believe you are a "dead" or inactive site.

By incorporating these updates along with an effective Search Engine Optimization (SEO) plan, you are bound to move up the ranks of the crowded internet ladder.

  • PC Repair and You

  • Most people think that computer repair is what you look up in the yellow pages of the phone book when your computer won't turn on, catches on fire, or starts making terrible noises inside the case, but that is simply not true.

Now you are asking yourself, "Yeah, you mean you do more than fix them?"

The answer is yes. We can backup data on your hard drive; get rid of spy ware, viruses, annoying reoccurring popup ads and more. We also perform memory upgrades, add additional hard drive space, system restore, windows upgrades, and regular computer maintenance including a "spring cleaning" which involves removing dust from delicate computer components because dust buildup leads to heat, and heat leads to a meltdown! We also do a "winter cleaning" which involves various methods and procedures to make your computer logon to windows faster, overall speed and performance from your hard drive and helping you get the most out of your memory. We also install wired and wireless networks, in your office at work or in your office at home! What i am trying to get across is that whatever your computer needs are we will assist you in any way possible!!
